glebe house – period house alterations / extensions

The client sought to create contemporary informal family living spaces in contrast to the formality and ritual of the existing glebe house. All contemporary additions – kitchen, living, dining, gym and tv rooms are carefully woven into the existing composition of period house and garden in a sensitive and considered fashion. In contrast to the formality and sequence of the period house, the new additions respond and fully engage with the sylvan context and riparian setting of the site acting as a transition between house and garden.
