enniskerry medical centre – mixed use development
This design successfully accommodated a complex and ambitious client brief of mixed uses on a sensitive site in the heart of picturesque Enniskerry village. The uses proposed ranged from a restaurant (215sq.m) and foodhall (230+sq.m) within an existing period building to a new pharmacy (180sq.m) and multidisciplinary medical centre (920+sq.m) forming a new village courtyard. Seven further residential units form a second garden courtyard over a fifty three space basement car park. The resulting density had to respond to and respect the Architectural Conservation Area status of the village. This development has recently been granted planning permission by Wicklow County Council. This project was completed by Rory Murphy as a director of Studio M Architects.
