This proposal sought to rejuvenate a well established landmark and brand within Talbot Street. Three floors of retail with six floors of office overhead act as an urban beacon within the streetscape and creates a viable shopping destination. The density was accommodated on a tight irregular infill site by composing a sequence of mediating forms and masses which respectfully engage with the immediate surroundings. It is anticipated that the bold rejuvenation of this site can reinvent and re-establish the shop brand while contributing positively to the neglected character of the area.
