kenmare townhouse

Recently the feature of an episode of ‘Designs for Life’, this house was commissioned by hotelier Francis Brennan. The brief required adaptation of a small existing townhouse and the addition of a contemporary extension on a tight urban site. The challenges inherent in the site constrictions and existing fabric resulted in a sequence of interwoven spaces which were responsive to the aspect, orientation and urban context. The full feature episode can be viewed online here.

This project was completed by Rory Murphy as a director of Studio M Architects.
