millbridge – house alterations / extension

The brief required the re-configuration of an existing four bedroom family home to vastly improve the quality of space and light. A series of small enclosed rooms, inefficiently planned, were re-arranged to engage with the rear garden and provide flexible open plan spaces more suited to modern family living. To improve energy efficiency, the insulation levels in the house were increased, air tightness, controlled ventilation and solar water heating were introduced with great effect.
